Weekend Recap

It was another fun and busy weekend around here! Are there people who actually lay around and REST on the weekends?!? I wonder what that's like?? LOL! 

On Friday the hubs and I had a busy date night! We started out the night at the University of Louisville basketball game and then ended the night at the Toad the Wet Sprocket concert. They are easily hubby's all-time favorite band and one of his main musical influences, so anytime he gets the chance to see them is truly a moment in his happy place!! 

Ran into our Hawaii family's family! 

On Saturday we ran around to various lessons with the girls and then spent the late afternoon/night at the Louisville football game. These double header weekends are crazy for us fans!! LOL!  The Cards got the win but it was a rather lackluster game and kind of a bummer since it was our last time to see Teddy Bridgewater play in a UL uni at home and he didn't even throw for a single touchdown... Oh well. It was a perfect night for some football and the Cards are 9-1!

After the football game we stopped by a gig that was packed with friends! And I don't have a single picture from there, too much fun socializing I guess! #fail! LOL!

Sunday was spent... putting up all the Christmas decorations!! YAY!! This is kind of psycho-early to get that done but OMG it feels awesome that we've done it! I'm winning this year. I'm going to be relaxed and ahead of the game and ENJOYING Christmas rather than running around like a loon!

Weekend Recap

Another fun and busy weekend around here! And we have a chance of SNOW tonight?? Really?? Um... SO GLAD we have a sunny vacay in the near future! ;)

Friday night we made another trip to Louisville's uber fabulous Hammerheads, this time for the FIL's birthday dinner. He was just as overwhelmed by the deliciousness as we always are! OMG, sooooo good. And they have a mustache machine now! Hammerheads for the win!!

After dinner we met friends out to watch the Louisville football game and.... eh. After SO MANY high expectations heading into this season, it has definitely been more than a little bit disappointing. We still love some Teddy, we just wanted the WORLD to be in love with Teddy, too, you know???

Saturday was spent at the KFC Yum Center for the University of Louisville basketball season opener and the hanging of the 2013 championship banner! WHOOOO!! SO amazing and emotional and fabulous. LOVE this city, LOVE this team!!

Sunday was spent in Cincinnati at junior's cheer competition. It was a long/late day but she rocked it out and came away with another 1st place trophy. As the youngest kid on a team that goes up to 14 year olds, I continue to be amazed by her talent and HARD WORK. She is such a ham on the floor and SO much fun to watch!! 

And, just like that, it's Monday again!! Hope everyone had a great weekend and that you're all recharged for a new week!! Go get 'em!! 

Weekend Recap

Whew.... what a weekend. Lots of drama, lots of activity, and a nice relaxing Sunday! 

Friday was picture day at school and the girls were SO excited to wear non-uniform clothes. They both bounded out of bed and left the house in the BEST mood. Then.... they got to the bus stop just in time to watch a truck going 80 mph slam into their bus full of kids. OMG... so traumatic and horrible to watch, but thankfully the kids all seem fine. And I think the truck driver survived, which was nothing short of a miracle.

Friday night was date night. We made a return trip to Hammerheads, which was even MORE fabulous than the original trip, and then we spent the night watching our Louisville Cardinals get their asses handed to them. Great.

Saturday morning started early as we headed out of town for our first all stars dance competition of the year. Our 9 year old's team KILLED it. OMG, they were amazing. First place is a great way to start a new season!!

And, suddenly, it was Sunday! We spent a few hours on party prep for our charity event coming up on Friday and then spent some time enjoying the beautiful day! 

Miss Boo Bitty has been happily rockin the hairbow this weekend! LOVE!!

It's Friday the 13th!! Duh duh DUMMMM!! Are you superstitious?? OMG. I'm SO superstitious. I won't walk under a ladder, won't open an umbrella inside, won't cross a black cat's path without "X'ing" it out... on and on and on. I'm sure hubs thinks I'm nuts sometimes! LOL!

This week has been HOTtttt again. OMG. Where was this weather all summer??? Now that the pool is closed we are wishing it was OPEN. Next best thing? Clearance summer toys at Target and Kroger! We are planning a water slide and snow cone party for the weekend! Nice!

Speaking of Target, the food hit of the week was the new Halloween Funfetti and icing goodies that are out now. Seriously didn't last 24 hours in the house before we had to make them! The girls got creative and made cookie toppers and shared them with their friends at gymnastics and dance. They were a big hit and I think I only heard one kid go "but it's not Halloween yet????" LOL!

My search for an Emmy's dress continues and, ugh, I'm kind of over it.... What will I wear? Who knows. It's a week from Sunday and at this point I am so tired of looking that I kind of don't care!

Last weekend's University of Louisville football game was a blast AGAIN! This weekend my awesome Cardinals are traveling to Lexington for the big rivalry game against the University of Kentucky. Excited every time I get to watch Teddy (bear) Bridgewater throw the football!
