PopSugar Special Edition Holiday for Him Box Review + Coupon

I was so excited to get this box from PopSugar! Unlike the women's box, I had peeked and knew what was going to be included. It's still always fun to get the goodies in your hands, though! This was a Limited Edition box that sold out quickly for $100. Hubs and I loved the his and hers summer boxes and I had high hopes for this one!!

Here's first looks:

And the breakdown:

Krave Beef Jerky, $7 - Hubs demolished this stuff almost instantly. Declared it the best jerky every. I'm happy to see that I should be able to pick up more at Target!

FunkyChunky Chip-Zel-Pop, $7 - This stuff looks amazing!! It's going into a bag of goodies for a teacher who LOVES chocolate!

Apolis Flannel Wool Tie, $68 - Eh, this is fine. I wish we had gotten the gray one. Hubs rarely wears a tie (seriously, maybe twice a year and that's usually a BOW tie for a black tie event) so I'll have to find something else to do with this one.

Soxiety Socks, $12 - Well... socks. They've already been worn. No comment, which means they're fine! LOL!

Malin + Goetz 1 oz Essential Kit, $30 - A great little travel kit for a guy who's more metro than mine! Haha

Native Union Monocle, $60 - This is a speaker, handset, speakerphone... We've had many times that we would love to have a speaker to play music from phone or iPod. Reviews online seem mixed... I hope it's fab!

Mark and Graham Leather Travel Pouch, $80 - This little bag is made of gorgeous, super supple leather. It's small, but will definitely be an upgrade for what hubs usually packs his stuff in (a ziploc bag or something girly of mine! haha). I would never have paid $80 for it, but he will use it, I'm sure. Unfortunately, this one has a few water spot type marks on it. I've emailed PopSugar and hope it's resolved easily!

I came up with a value of $264 for this box. Not my favorite LE PopSugar box but I thought the value was great. Just kind of a miss for us this time, which is part of the subscription box game! ;) Like I said above, this box is long sold out, but you can sign up for regular PopSugar and save $5 off your order with code REFER5.

PopSugar Special Edition Holiday Box 2013 Review

I was so excited to get this box from PopSugar! I had forgone spoilers and had no idea what was going to be included! This was a Limited Edition box that sold out quickly for $100. We loved the his and hers summer boxes and I had high hopes for this one!!

Here's first looks:

And the breakdown:

Fatty Sundays Peppermint and Chocolate covered Pretzels,  $7 - Yep, these were basically inhaled upon opening. All gone. Apparently they were delicious! ;)

Graphic Image 2014 Leather Datebook,  $90 - I am thoroughly invested in the 2014 planner that I've already been working on! This one is so so so pretty though!! Wish I had gotten it sooner!

Winks Faux Lashes Compact, $28 - I have a sister in law who wears falsies every single day... I love the idea but have yet to find that magical set. Hopefully this is it!!

TokyoMilk Body Souffle, $40 - This brand is new to me and I would have bought it based on container alone. This thing weighs a ton, seriously, it's like a brick! And the top twists off.... I spent some time trying to figure that one out.... LOL! The stuff smells fantastic and I'm always up for a rich body cream! My skin is sad, sad, sad right now! So dry and needy!!

Erickson Beamon Cuff,  $99 (?) - Erickson Beamon pieces are sold in high end stores like Barneys and online at Shopbop. They can go for hundreds and even into the thousands. This "Rocks" line looks to be a less expensive offshoot, sold in places like Bergner's  and Belk's. I based my guess on the pieces I saw online. I love this hinged cuff and it's totally something I would have bought on a shopping trip!

Lunares Cheese Paddle and Knife, $59 - It's weird that we don't have anything like this! I'm happy to have it! And the heavy little cheese cleaver is awesome and fun to hold!

Cuyana Infinity Scarf, $65 - This is made of Peruvian alpaca fleece. Let me tell you, I bought TONS of alpaca scarves when we were in Peru. They were dirt cheap (seriously, like $2 or $3) and are amazing. Everyone got a scarf for Christmas that year!! I have an around the world shopping trip that I need to do some day and stopping in Peru for scarves is on that list!!

I came up with a value of $388 for this box, which was a great deal for $100!! I really like the lotion and the bracelet and the family loved the pretzels! The other items will make great gifts or maybe a giveaway for the blog! ;) All in all very happy with this box!

I'm assuming that the December PopSugar box is long gone but I figure you can still sign up for the January box here. Monthly boxes are $40 (or less with longer commitment) and you can use code REFER5 to get $5 off your first box. This is such a fun subscription and is hands down my favorite month after month! There's still time to ask for it for Christmas, too, which is what I would do if I hadn't paid for months in advance already!!

Catherine Malandrino + Kohl's - Coming SOON!

Oh, I get pretty excited about these designer collaborations!! I was just out on Sunday morning fighting the masses for my Phillip Lim + Target goodies and now I'm looking forward to doing it all over again in about a week and a half!!

Fabulous French fashion designer Catherine Malandrino is doing a collaboration with Kohl's that will launch on September 27th. The collection is very French - as in Eiffel Towers, berets and lots and lots of black. She designed the collection with the intent of helping people to "bring the romance of Paris to everyday life." Pieces are to be priced between $30 and $130.

Kohl's has done a good job of getting this collection on some often-photographed celebs and the pieces look really nice!

Here are a few of the things I am loving:

And here are a few that I think seriously look one step short of a "French" costume. For real, I can picture a couple of these girls on a bridge over the Seine doing some mime work for tips! LOL!!

What do you think?? I have really loved the Vera Wang Princess line at Kohl's and I really enjoyed the Derek Lam collection and some others, too! I've got high hopes for this one! Anxious to get a feel for the fabrics, etc., and see what they are really like! The entire lookbook can be viewed on the Kohl's website HERE

PopSugar Must Haves Limited Edition Fall Style Box Review

Be sure to enter my Social Monograms giveaway for the chance to win a personalized leather clutch while you're here! :D

OMG... I was Soooooo excited to receive this box -  PopSugar's Must Haves Limited Edition Fall Style. This was a one time purchase of $100 and sold out pretty quickly. We absolutely loved the Summer boxes for Him and for Her and I had such high hopes for this box as well! I even was a good girl and resisted peeking, so it was a total surprise!! Fun!! :D

Here's first looks:

Love all the separate wrappings!! So many things to open! Yippee!! :D

Lots of goodies!!

And the breakdown!

Rachel Zoe Gold Knot Ring, $75 - I was worried about the sizing of this ring. I think maybe it's a 7? My fingers are pretty small, but it fits perfectly on my thumb. I haven't worn a thumb ring since I was going to raves in the 90s? Hahaha... Really, it's been a while. Think I'm bringing it back!

Library of Flowers Bubble Bath,  $36 - This can of bubble bath is huge, 32 oz, and it smells divine. Notes of amber resin, ylang ylang and green cardamom. Can't wait to fill up my big tub on a cold night and use it!!

Beurre & Sel Rosemary Parmesan Cookies, $10 - These cookies come from a bakery in NYC (LOVE New York) and the whole menu sounds SO interesting!! Hope we LOVE them and want to put the place on our shopping list next trip!!

Christian Lacroix Papier Notebook, $13 - Love this gorgeous little notebook. I am one of the dinosaurs who still actually WRITES everything down and the haute couture sketches are exactly the covers I would have picked out!

Goldfaden MD. Doctor's Scrub Ruby Crystal Microderm Exfoliator, $75 - Oh, my skin. I've def been caked in SPF 50 for months now and am really looking forward to getting serious about some of the awesome scrubby stuff I have around here!

Cynthia Vincent Classic Shopper Bag,  $42 - This bag is really big, way bigger than a typical tote. I've got it all folded up in the picture, I think I need to buy a dress form to model stuff for me! Haha! I'm not super crazy about this print, it's definitely way more muted than some of the others I've seen, so it will probably wind up gifted. Nice quality bag!

Stila Luxe Eye Shadow Palette, $45 -  Oh my goodness, so many of these colors are sparkly and gorgeous and I can't wait to get into them!! Love anything that makes me not dread winter QUITE so much!

I came up with a total value of almost $300 for this box. I'm really excited about the things that were included and, as always with PopSugar, feel like I seriously bought myself a nice present!

If you would like to sign up for the regular PopSugar subscription, it's $35/month or a little cheaper with longer commitment. If you would use one of my referral links, that would be awesome! Thank you!! Use code REFER5 to save $5 off your first box or OCT10 to save $10 off a three month subscription!

GlossyBox Special Edition Martha Stewart Box Review

I've never tried GlossyBox before but I couldn't resist when the Martha Stewart box was announced! This box was to include items picked by Martha and a one year subscription to Martha Stewart Living for a one time charge of $15 (only $12.25 after buying through eBates* and getting $2.75 cash back). The regular subscription price for the magazine is $24/year so this already seemed worth a shot!

Here's first looks:

And the breakdown:

Olay Complete Moisturizer, $10

Olay 4-in-1 Daily Facial Cloths, $7

Pantene Heat Potion Serum, $7

Travel pouch, $4

The reason it has taken me a while to do this review.... completely underwhelmed. Yeah, with the magazine subscription, the value was $52 and good for $12.25. But the products are just so basic and uninspired and are things that can be picked up anywhere. I was hoping for something unique, you know?? I find it hard to believe that Martha uses ANY of this stuff! LOL!

And the magazine subscription situation was weird. There was a subscription card that required you to either pay now or check a box to be billed. I wrote a note on it about GlossyBox and mailed it in. I'm going to be ticked if I get a bill! I'll update this post when something happens one way or the other!

* Everyone uses eBates, right??? All you do is click through their links when you shop online and you get part of your money back. They mail out checks every 3 months as long as you have a minimum amount in your account - $5 I think? OMG... I've used their completely FREE service for over a decade and and my current cash back total is OVER $3,600!!! Please use my referral links if you sign up! Thank you!!

Phillip Lim + Target coming soon!

Oh my goodness... I get really really excited about these guest designer collabs at Target! I've gotten some really awesome things over the years from Missoni, Proenza Schouler, Rodarte, on and on, for ridiculously low prices!

The latest collaboration will feature designs from 3.1 Phillip Lim, a New York based industry darling known for his cutting edge and modern design aesthetic. The line launches September 15. If it's like previous collections, a lot of it will be available on Target's website at12:01am on 9/15 and is likely to incite some major frenzies! I promise you I'll be online at midnight and waiting! I love the stories of in-store drama that come from these launches!!  Haha!!

This extensive collection will include more than 100 pieces including items in womenswear and menswear, shoes, purses and travel accessories. The price range will be from $19.99 to $59.99 for accessories and $19.99 to $299.99 for apparel. I'm so curious to see what the $300 pieces are like! Getting pretty fancy there, Target!

There are lots of pieces in the lookbook that look interesting! I am really digging the unusual leopard print and floral print items! Here are some of my favorites:

You can view the entire lookbook HERE. What pieces to you like at first glance?? Will you be in the crowd of crazies on the 15th fighting for your goodies?? I'll be sure to post reminders of the date on my Facebook page! Can't wait!
