Fleury Rose Luxe Paint Splatter Manicure

Don't forget to enter my Social Monograms giveaway for a personalized leather clutch while you're here! :D

Celebrity manicurist Fleury Rose created an inspiring collection of fall manicures for the September issue of InStyle and I couldn't wait to try them out!!

For nails of the week this week I attempted the Luxe Paint Splatter Manicure.

I feel like the girls and I have a million nail polishes and am always surprised when we don't have a specific color?? LOL! I used the closest things I had, a gray instead of green and a silvery gold rather than true bronze.

* China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat
* Julep in Daria
* Butter in Bobby Dazzler
* Nail art (for brush only)

First step is to paint your nails with the darker base color and let dry for 10 minutes.

Then you use a striper brush to paint "random wavy lines" on top of the base. I cleaned the tiny brush in the nail art polish above and used it in place of purchasing a separate one.

Well... it turned out okay. Not nearly as chic as the magazine's color combo and my wavy lines look a little bonkers. Maybe I just need some fabulous accessories to up the class of the picture?? Haha! I think the idea of the manicure is interesting, though, and might be fun to play around with throughout the season with different colors!
