June Bulu Box Review

Ugh. I don't know what it is with me and Bulu, it's like we got off to a bad start and I just can't change the vibe. I've had this box for a while and am finally forcing myself to write it up. I think the main problem is that it's out of the realm of my natural interests! Haha!

So Bulu comes in several versions, this is the regular version. It costs $10/month but I bought a 3 month deal a while back for like $19 I think. Last month I was kind of in shock at how little was in the box. This month definitely has higher value and has things that the hubs will use, which was my point of subscribing all along!

Here's first looks:

This box celebrates Bulu's birthday so they put points worth $5 in each subscribers account. I'll use this to buy some form of protein in their store for hubs, im sure! Good start!

And the breakdown! Most of this stuff is supplements, etc., and hubs doesn't give me much feedback on it, so I'm just going to do a basic listing!

Shapeology Burn Blend ($10)

Eat Green Tea
sample

Power Ice freezable electrolyte replacement ($1.50)

Power Fuel formula 52 supplement ($1)

Thera-gesic sample

GU Chomps energy chews sample ($1.50)

So the value was definitely over $10, especially including the $5 account credit. All of the supplements definitely aren't my thing, but the hubs is enjoying trying something new!

What do you think of Bulu? Do you subscribe to it? I also get Klutchclub and it's definitely more interesting to me personally but hubs likes them both. If you'd like to try Bulu, please use my referral link and use code FIRSTFREE or DISCOVER to get your first box FREE!

PopSugar June Must Haves Box Review + GIVEAWAY!

Omg... Omg omg omg. Where do I start with this awesome PopSugar box??? Seriously, I want to tell you if you don't subscribe to any boxes but are thinking about it, treat yourself to this one (and to Ipsy, which is only $10/month)! But is it possible to maintain a level of mind-blowing excellence like this box??? Seriously, it's insane how good it was this month! Next month is the company's anniversary. Can it be even better??? EEK!! Here's first looks:

Kids think PopSugar rocks! Ha!

Peace out PopSugar!

Soooo many goodies! And some photo bombs by a kid as well! Haha!

Let's get to the breakdown!

Juice Beauty stem cellular repair moisturizer ($65) and CC cream samples ($8) - yes, please!! After the stress of an ailing/thankfully recovering kiddo, my skin is wrecked. Potential miracle in a jar?? I'm definitely open to it!

Gorjana & Griffin scarf ($62) and unique gift code ($25) - this scarf... I'm in love! It made it's way out of the house the same day I received it, to go to gymnastics class! It's super soft, lightweight, sheer. The print is a little nautical and not what I would have picked on my own, which makes it even better (i would have picked Martinique or Westside)! Whats the fun of these boxes if not to shake things up and try something new??

(working on a post of fun recent summer outfits! this one will be there!)

The website has lots of pretty things, but shipping starts at $8 if you don't spend $75, which i feel like makes the card worth $17. Wasn't sure I was going to use it and then G & J went through and commented personally on all the pictures of their popsugar scarf on instagram! WHAT?? I'm a sucker for a personal touch. They've officially won my business!

Revenge wears Prada ($14) - how, HOW???, did I not know this book exists?? Ashamed of myself but so so so excited to get it! I couldn't wait, already read it, have it set aside to take to my mom (she also can't wait). It was definitely more focused on relationships, being a mom, etc., than on fashion, like the first one, so a little meh for me, but there was an interesting blurb where people were trying to pronounce "Louisville" like a native, which is always entertaining! Ha!

Addicted to sweat ($19) - this is a workout with Madonna's trainer that uses only a chair and the floor (and is no joke). After my post on workouts last week, I was excited to try something new, but NO! It is SOooo hard. The workout itself is only 20 minutes but I couldn't do it. Not even close. Lots of steps up/down from chair. Some grueling ab work. I maybe did 60% of it and my a** hurt almost too bad to get out of bed the next morning.

post-workout, dying. hated it! lol!

So, who wants to try it?? Use Rafflecopter form below to enter and I'll mail you this used once copy! I'm no glutton for punishment but I figure at least one of you is! LOL!

Fit popcorn ($5) and quench mints ($2) - great little snacks and the mints are from a company that uses proceeds to provide water to people in need! Awesome! That other little black thing is a bookmark for the book!

So altogether I came up with a value of $192 for this box and it was one of those awesome moments when you LOVE EVERY SINGLE THING!! $35 for $192 of stuff you love?? Yes please!!

PopSugar is $35/month and you can save $5 off your first box with code REFER5. Please use my referral link if you join! Thank you!! Can't WAIT to see what next month brings!! I heart you PopSugar!!

Exercising at home! Get your sweat on!!

Ah.... at home exercise. All the benefits without having to drive to the gym and sweat with/in front of strangers. But the main problem remains, if you don't like it, you aren't going to do it. Or maybe that's just me? LOL! I definitely need a workout to either be fun (doesn't feel like exercise) or simple enough that I can multitask (iPad on the elliptical).

I was a Reebok step aerobics fanatic back in the day. Anyone else? My knees have always been an issue, so that was probably not the best choice, but I definitely thought it was fun! I never had a nice step box, though, I had a super slippery plastic cube thing that added that extra element of challenge and danger! The fact that I can't find a picture of one anywhere tells me that they probably led to lots of injuries and lawsuits! Haha!

This outfit... OMG.
I thought this guy was hilarious back in the day, and now, even more so! LOL!
Not sure why he came up on my search, but he made me laugh!

I also was all about some Billy Blanks Tae Bo for a LONG time. I've always loved Billy. He always seems so POSITIVE and encouraging and nice. Like we'd be friends in real life. He's like, "It's okay, just do your best!" I definitely don't want my DVDs yelling at me and being mean to me like the hubby's P90X, etc., who are more like "THAT'S SO WEAK YOU LOSER!! DO 50 MORE PUSH UPS!!" Okay, maybe not EXACTLY like that, but definitely not my style!

So nice! Thumbs up! You can do it!!
He's definitely always been good for some questionable outfits! LOL!

When Billy put out Boot Camp, I got into that, too. It did a lot with the resistance bands, though, and I could feel my arms bulking up some, so I ditched the bands and did it just for cardio. But he still seemed SO nice, like "Hey, it took you 9 months to put on the baby weight, give yourself at least 9 months to take it off! You got this, Mama!"

Um.... Pretty close to a wardrobe malfunction, Billy! LOL!

This outfit.... It.... Matches?? Haha

Not too long ago I went through a major phase with this goofy 10 minute Hip Hop DVD, too. I picked it up at Target on a whim and it was actually really fun!

Idk what this is that came up in my search, but I'm feeling like anything this teacher could do, I could do! LOL!

Ok, ok, let's skip to the present a little bit. There are a few programs I've been loving recently. The one that my family gets the most LOLz out of is Shaun T's Rockin' Body. I bought this one on a Groupon deal and it's seriously fun. For real. And goofy as all get out. You can't have any shame and do this one in front of ANYBODY! Haha!! It's been interesting for the hubs to see this side of Shaun T. The dude is a famous choreographer, so this is definitely more his natural personality I would think, but it's a whole different side than the super tough guy in the Insanity videos!!

Mystical....

It's a dance party!

Not sure why it turned up in the search, but how cute is this??

I also rotate in some Brooklyn Decker yoga every once in a while.

I wish I could do yoga on a NYC rooftop every day!

So what do you love? What have you loved in the past? One thing I could never get into was pilates, I definitely need to be more active than that! Have you tried something lately that is new and exciting?? Do share!!

KlutchClub - May Men's Box Review

So.... Idk what it is about Klutchclub, and the fact that they charge you for a month and call a box that month's box, but you don't actually receive it until the NEXT month. This is the "May'" box, that I paid for in May, and received June 7.... Whatevs. They are awesome enough that they can get away with it! Haha!

KlutchClub offers subscription boxes for Men, Women and Moms. The boxes cost $18/month (or less with longer commitment) and contain "$50 of the best healthy snacks, supplements, fitness programs, personal-care products and more." I subscribed to the Men's box because this sounded right up Hub's alley!

Here's first looks:

I love a first look that shows a box FULL of goodies!! Let's get to a breakdown!

Kind bar ($2) - I'd like for the girls to try it. Will have to get to it before the hubs does (I'm probably not that quick! Haha!)!

Aubrey aftershave ($2) - Meh. Won't get used in my house, would gift it but the seal was kind of screwed up where it had just started to leak, so will prob give it to my dad.

$20 gift card to theClymb.com - Let's talk about this gift card for a minute. This is a website that runs sample/flash sales related to health and fitness. I had never heard of it before and felt my pulse quickening when I saw that they also offer discounted adventure trips!! I saw one for Costa Rica, which is the front runner right now for spring break 2014, and I was hoping to see one for Antarctica, which I am kind of obsessed with right now because it's the only continent we haven't been to! $20 wasn't going to help much with a trip, though! Lol!

You have to spend $75 on theClymb.com to get free shipping, otherwise shipping is $7.95. Okay... but the bonus was that my card actually put $25 in my account, so it kind of brought shipping down to $2.95. I ordered a discounted pack of Muscle Milk protein bars that retail for $42 (what?!). They are still $29 even on GNC.com with member pricing and all I had to pay was the $7.95 shipping fee! So, with just this card I  saved $21 on something I would have bought anyway, and that more than paid for the box! Nice!

CocoaVia supplement (ten pack/$10), chocolate daily to help circulation? I'll give it a shot!

Pop Potato Chips ($1) - sure, anything edible disappears around here.

Drink Chia! ($5) - I had seen pictures of this online and was still surprised at HOW MANY SEEDS are in it. Is it going to be super weird to drink?? It's in the fridge chillin right now! We shall see! And it's pretty expensive for an 8 oz bottle! I'm expecting a SUPER charge from this! LOL!

Agro Labs Coconut water ($3) - they actually sell this in 72 (?!) packs of these 3 oz bottles on Amazon for $155.88. Really?? That seems a WEE extreme to me. I get a lot of cheapy hydration from my 10 glasses of water a day! ;)

Happy squeeze coconut milk ($2) - it's like a juice pouch for grownups! And contains 2/3 a serving of fruit! Fun! :)

Mr. Pink drink ($2) - well, I do a daily cup of coffee but not much other caffiene on an average day. The hubs drank it, to me it tasted a little Red Bull-y. And I'm a little worried that a google search turned up pictures of Lindsay Lohan chugging it and I guess she asked for $500k to promote it! Wut? Lolz!!

The Perez Hilton take on the situation! Haha!

Counting the gift card as $21 value, I came up with a box worth $48, definitely more than I paid but just shy of the $50 claimed to be in there. I'm super happy with this box though and I KNOW the hubs will love it all! It was almost worth $18 for the chuckles I got when all these Lindsey Lohan pictures started popping up! Hahaha!

If you'd like to try KlutchClub, please use my referral link. Thank you! And, through 6/26, use ZZJUNE25 to save 25% off any 3 month subscription or ZZJUNE30 to save 30% off any 12 month subscription (shipping and box charge separate, only takes discount off the box itself!)!

Website Review: Dancewear Solutions

Over the years I have bought LOTS of dance, cheer and gymnastics clothes, and that doesn't look to change in the near future! I find the options in local stores a little bit limited. You can go the ULTRA basic and inexpensive route and buy (boring) pieces from major chains like Wal-Mart, Target and Meijer. Don't get me wrong, my dancer thinks the Danskin Basics at Wal-Mart are super soft and comfy, but personally I get tired of looking at them! LOL!

The other main choice in Louisville and surrounding areas is Kinney Dancewear. They have super cute things, and a weak rewards program where you get a little certificate after you spend $250, but BOY are they expensive. Gymnastics leotards can easily run close to $50. It's a great place to pick up a "treat" piece every once in a while, but I try to avoid it most of the time because we can't seem to get out of there without spending $100+!

Last year I took a chance on online retailer Dancewear Solutions and have been really happy with it! The products have been the great quality and the prices are definitely more reasonable. And I love that it gives me an opportunity to buy my girls something to wear that nobody else has! SO much more to choose from!

We recently ordered a few things, including this leotard/dress for a voice recital performance:

So, so soft and pretty and she loves it! It was $35 before discount and is actually something she can wear over and over again for regular classes!

Here are a few of the other things we've bought recently:

It's all so cute! And neither of those are my kid, BTW. Haha!

If you spend $100, shipping is free. And coupon code DWSBB4 will save you 10% through the end of May!

What do you think?? Is there some magical land of dance and gymnastics clothes around Louisville that we've been missing out on??
